Eadig & I Went to the Dolls Kill LA Model Casting!

Unleash Your Inner - Dolls Kill Opening 2018

A bit late on this post, but who’s keeping score anyway?

Last month, I was chatting in the kitchen with my roommate, Youtube Witch Eadig, and she casually mentioned that Dolls Kill was having an open casting that day at their new store that just opened on Fairfax.

“Wait… what? Forget what you’re doing, we’re going.

OK maybe that wasn’t said, but the sentiment was the same. I am rarely the type to drop everything and change my plans for the day, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to attend an open casting call for Dolls Kill. So, we dressed and painted our faces as quickly as we could and ran out the door.

I mean, what if I got cast? A long shot, surely I know that, but still.

This thinking must have been along the same lines as every other twenty-something baddie in LA, hence why the line stretched for 4 blocks by the time we rolled up around 11AM.

I called it as I saw it:

“They’re not really gonna hire anyone as a model. This is just a marketing gimmick to promote their store opening…Let’s do it anyway!”

A grand gimmick it was, and so we did. We stood in the blistering sun for around 4 hours on Saturday afternoon, only to finally arrive, sweaty and wind-blown, at the front to have our pictures taken and our info taken down.

Ultimately, nothing manifested of these efforts. We didn’t really expect anything anyway.

In any case, I had a fantastic time getting to know Eadig on a more intimate level, vibing with all the fashionably-dressed dolls in line with us, and checking out Dolls Kill’s first store in LA, one of only two in existence to date.

With the DJ spinning and Instagram-worthy activations built into the interior decor, it was truly a sight to behold.

Even if you don’t plan on dropping any money, I highly recommend paying the Dolls Kill LA store a visit, checking out the surprisingly high-quality threads in person, and snapping some pics with your dolls.
