Poetic Justice

LA Fashion Bloggers

She was experimental and reckless, cool and uncalculated.

I comforted myself with the thought that I could do better, but you’ve left me with a bad taste in my mouth – there, I said it.

So I buy new shoes and skip meals and stand on my head and change my hair and smile when in doubt.

Speaking with my peers I find they echo back the same paranoid and fearful voices in my own head.

I tell them what I tell myself; that you don’t have to listen to those voices in your head, that they’re only holding you back, that self-sabotage will make you average.

The problem is, I’m just old enough to know better, not old enough to care.

I have loved, and I have lost sourly… right before rediscovering my passion for making pictures, creative debate, boots, and fruit parfaits.

It’s bittersweet southern comfort knowing we’re never truly alone…

We’ll always have our demons to keep us company.
